JIMCO Air-Cleaning System type FLO-K is used for a large number of different applications

FLO-K systems are manufactured and supplied for various tasks. Where the air temperature is less than 45OC. 

The FLO-K system does not require a secondary air to cool the primary air to be treated. The process is called photolytic oxidation, which means the contaminated air is subjected to a combination of UV-C light and ozone.

The contaminants in the air are oxidized or cold incinerated. Odors and organic particles contained in the air are reduced to an absolute minimum. The typical reduction in OU/m3 is about 90 – 98%.​

The reaction chamber of JIMCO's FLO-K system is made of acid proof stainless steel (316) and contains a number of JIMCO's Photozonelamps™. These are dimensioned for the volume of air you wish to clean.

Furthermore, you will also eliminate the problems associated with high chimney stacks, incinerators/thermal oxidizers, biological filters/peat beds, chemical scrubbers, fragrant oil masking, etc. as they are not required when you use JIMCO technology.​

In February 2000 JIMCO received the EU Environmental Award for Cleaner Technology for the development of the Photolytic Oxidation System. 

​Since 1993 JIMCO has specialized in the reduction of grease, odour, and aromatic compounds in exhaust air with high temperatures (frying, boiling and deep-frying processes) through the development of the unique UV-C & Ozone technology. This technology eliminates several environmental hazards generated by industrial and commercial processes.

The JIMCO industrial air cleaning system are based on the unique technology – photolytic oxidation.

The process of odour reduction and air treatment will be made by the application of the technology called Photolytic Oxidation Process, which uses a combination of ultraviolet radiation C and ozone.

Photolysis is a process in which UV-C radiation enables photon degradation of organic particles (e.g. fat and oil). Ozonolysis is an oxidation process in which organic particles are decomposed by ozone through a cold combustion. Ozone (produced by the lamps) is an unstable natural gas found in nature and helps to sterilize the earth's surface.

With the JIMCO Photolytic Oxidation Process alone you will reach a reduction percent at +75 %.

If higher reduction than above is required, a catalyst with activated carbon must be considered. With that combination you will reach a reduction percent at +95 %.

It can therefore be said that UV-C light breaks down the organic particles, making it easier for the ozone to decompose them. UV-C light breaks down the organic particles, making it easier for the ozone to break them down.

JIMCO Air-treatment systems is used for a large number of different applications

​JIMCO air-treatment systems are manufactured and supplied for various tasks. The reaction chamber of JIMCO's industrial air cleaning system is made of acid proof stainless steel (316) and contains a number of JIMCO's Photozone lamps™. These are dimensioned for the volume of air required to treat.

​The systems is installed with automatic CIP cleaning systems. That means a minimum of maintenance of the daily basis as the unit cleans itself after use. The CIP system is controlled from the PLC-controller to program the cleaning sequence to your requirements. 

JIMCO and CIP suppliers have jointly selected the best environmentally friendly detergents for the cleaning process.

JIMCO's industrial air cleaning systems are normally equipped with PLC-controllers incorporating modem links and alarm signals.

FLO-K can be combined with a water scrubber for applications with large ammonia content. Ammonia is easily washed out of the contaminated air. The air is washed before entering the UV-C reaction chamber.​
